A prayer about Clarity - Seeing things perfectly

HOLY SPIRIT,

Open my eyes to see more clearly. As I think about my life, everything seems fuzzy, out of focus lately. I’m not sure I understand some of the hard teachings in your Word. I seem to be misinterpreting what people say to me these days. And I’m having serious questions about the direction of my life. I feel like I am a child again, with a severely limited perspective because of immaturity and lack of life experience. I have matured in many ways, but I still need to grow in my relationship with you. I know I’m a finite human being, so I have serious limitations. I also know that one day “I will know everything completely” when I get to heaven. Right now, however, in my everyday living, I desperately need your help. So today as I read the Bible, give me insight. As I relate to coworkers and friends, give me sensitivity and the ability to listen. And as I make decisions for the days and years ahead, give me wisdom.

Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. 1 Corinthians 13:12
