A Prayer About The Sin Nature

When I honestly assess myself

GOD,

Ever since Eden, humans having sinful natures have been born into a sinful world. Our natural bent is to turn away from you and your will. So I shouldn’t be shocked when people act naturally and sin. I also shouldn’t be surprised when I act that way, and it should remind me how much I need you. Enslaved by sin, I was lost and without hope. But you freed me from sin’s penalty and power. You have given me the freedom to choose to do what is right, to serve you. Thank you, Lord.
