A Prayer About Sharing My Faith
A prayer about Sharing My Faith
When I know I must witness
DEAR JESUS,
I am surrounded by people who don’t know you, many of whom are my friends. I realize that I should be more explicit about what I believe and urge them to learn about you and the Good News, but life just seems to move quickly, and I say little or nothing. I’m not sure what is holding me back. Maybe subconsciously I don’t think I’m a good enough Christian to be telling someone else how to live. Perhaps I’m afraid that our friendship will suffer or that they will ask a question I can’t answer. I am convinced that you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Jesus. I know I was lost in sin but because of your love and the Cross I am forgiven, free, and heaven bound. So why am I so afraid to tell others my story? Please give me the courage to share my faith, trusting you for the outcome. I would ask for opportunities, but you give those every day. I just need to seize them and tell the truth.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! Isaiah 52:7
