A Prayer About Prosperity

When I consider real riches

DEAR JESUS,

I enjoy being comfortable and having sufficient financial resources. But if I need to experience abject poverty in the world’s eyes to enjoy your riches, then may it be so. Sometimes I daydream about becoming wealthy, but that’s a trap and a temptation I must resist. You left heaven’s glory and became poor . . . for me. Thank you, Jesus.

You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9
