A Prayer About Perfection

When I feel frustrated in this less-than-perfect world

LORD,

Too often I become dismayed at the flaws I see in myself and others. I know in my mind that you alone are perfect, but help me understand and feel that in my heart. In heaven all will be made whole, right, and perfect. Until then, help me live with a realistic view of the world.

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. Philippians 3:12
