A Prayer About Healing

When the health of someone I love is at risk

DIVINE HEALER,

When Jesus walked this earth, people brought to him their loved ones who were struggling with physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges, and “he healed them all.” I have often wished that you were nearby, Lord, so I could bring my requests to you in person. Today, if I could, I would drive my loved one to you to receive your healing touch and be restored. Forgive my lack of faith. I know, in fact, that you are here and your Spirit is working in me and in the world. I also know you can do anything, including healing wherever needed. So, dear God, I lay my loved one at your feet. You can heal immediately if it’s your will, and I pray for that. But if you choose to heal through medicine, I pray that you give the doctors wisdom for a correct diagnosis and the right treatment. I place this all in your hands and trust you for the outcome.

Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon-possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all. Matthew 4:23-24
