A Prayer About Enjoying God

When I remember all that God has done

HEAVENLY FATHER,

According to the Westminster Shorter Catechism, “Man’s chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.” I think I understand the “glorify” and “forever” parts, but I wonder at times how I can enjoy you. Help me remember your love, forgiveness, guidance, gifts, promises, and care. I want to live joyfully, Father, so I will sing your praises, exult in your presence, and rejoice in my salvation.

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. Isaiah 12:2
