A Prayer About Enemies

When I feel surrounded

DEAR GOD,

I’m under assault—at least that’s how I feel. At times the attacks are subtle. Often, however, they are direct, questioning my character, undermining my relationships, or mocking my faith. I feel like David, who cried out to you for help. I, too, trust you, Lord. I know that you love me and that Christ died for me. And through him I can live victoriously today. I will not be defeated!

I am trusting you, O LORD, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Psalm 31:14-15
