How do I know God wants me?

John 15:9I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.

Romans 8:38-39And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

He loves me; his love is unchanging and revealed in Jesus.

Psalm 139:13-16You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

He created me.

Colossians 3:12Since God chose you to be the holy people whom he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

1 Thessalonians 1:4We know that God loves you, dear brothers and sisters, and that he chose you to be his own people.

1 Peter 1:2, 15God the Father chose you long ago, and the Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Jesus Christ and are cleansed by his blood. May you have more and more of God’s special favor and wonderful peace . . . But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God—who chose you to be his children—is holy.

1 Peter 2:9But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom of priests, God’s holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

He chose me.

Matthew 10:29-31Not even a sparrow, worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to him than a whole flock of sparrows.

1 Corinthians 6:20for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

1 Corinthians 7:23God purchased you at a high price. Don’t be enslaved by the world.

Matthew 12:11-12And he answered, “If you had one sheep, and it fell into a well on the Sabbath, wouldn’t you get to work and pull it out? Of course you would. And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, it is right to do good on the Sabbath.”

Mark 8:35-37If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will find true life. And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul?

He counts me as valuable.

Psalm 139:17How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They are innumerable!

He thinks of me.

Matthew 6:26-30Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

God cares for me and my needs.

Psalm 23:5You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.

Psalm 71:3Be to me a protecting rock of safety, where I am always welcome. Give the order to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.

Hebrews 10:22let us go right into the presence of God, with true hearts fully trusting him. For our evil consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

Ephesians 3:12Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come fearlessly into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome.

God is accessible to me.

Romans 2:10-11But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good-for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

God is not prejudice or partial.

God will not reject me.

Matthew 28:20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

God is with me.
