How can I resist evil desires?

James 3:13If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.

Keep yourself busy with good deeds.

Matthew 6:13“And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.”

Pray that good desires will overcome bad ones.

Remove the source of temptation from your life as much as possible.

Fill your mind with God and thoughts that honor him.

Proverbs 15:22Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.

Find a person willing to help you. We all need people who will encourage us and hold us accountable. God gave us other believers to help us in our walk with him.
