I was raped and now I’m pregnant. How can I possibly love this child?
Psalm 139:13-16You [the Lord] made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. . . . You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
1 John 4:7Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.
1 John 4:19We love each other because he loved us first.
Even though a child is conceived through a tragedy like rape, the child belongs first and foremost to God. He is the creator of life, even the life inside a woman. Only he can fill the rape victim’s heart with love for her child and create joy, even in the worst of circumstances.
