When I am angry, what should I avoid doing?

2 Corinthians 2:5-7I [Paul] am not overstating it when I say that the man who caused all the trouble hurt all of you more than he hurt me. Most of you opposed him, and that was punishment enough. Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him.

Ephesians 6:4Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them.

We should avoid punishing in the heat of anger. More often than not, we will regret the words we say and the actions we do as we overreact to a situation.

We should avoid acting on impulse in the heat of anger because we may do something that will haunt us for the rest of our lives.
