The Heart Of Christ

The Heart Of Christ

So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Romans 12:5

If a person walks into any church in any town across America on any given Sunday, he or she will most likely find something to not like about it. Whether it’s the worship style, the version of the Bible they use, the decor of the sanctuary, or the number of people who attend, someone is bound to have a problem with something in the church, because every person is different and has different tastes.

The good news is that God doesn’t focus on those minor issues within a church. He’s more interested in whether or not a church can look beyond its members’ differences and become united in its effort to carry out His purpose in the world. The church that is prepared to do that will get the honor of being involved in His work.

There are a lot of amazing things happening through churches right now, including providing for those displaced by natural disasters, mobilizing thousands to help those dying of AIDS, and holding job fairs for those who have found themselves unemployed.

Look around. Christ’s heart is shining through these acts for all to see and witness His love.

It does not take a perfect church to introduce a man to the perfect Christ.
