You Are Well Able

You Are Well Able

See what the land is like and whether the people who live there are strong or weak, few or many.

Numbers 13:18

There’s new land in front of you, and it’s time to move into it. But maybe you’ve felt overwhelmed about how to move into it—into the ministry, the career, the relationship—whatever it is that God has called you to. Perhaps what you need is a team of leaders like Joshua and Caleb encouraging you.

When the Israelites were ready to step into the promised land, a nation occupied the land. So God had Moses send twelve leaders to scout it out and report back (Numbers 13). Ten of them came back saying that the land was big, the cities were fortified, and the people were larger and stronger than the Israelites. Those ten could see only the obstacles, and they incited fear in the people. Joshua and Caleb, however, saw the same exact obstacles, but came to a very different conclusion. They saw only the possibilities and the favorable outcome. They said they were well able to overcome.

Whatever land is in front of you, find leaders to speak truth into your life like I am speaking right now: You are well able to take the land. You are well able to overcome and conquer. You are well able to move forward, receive that promotion, walk through that door.

Lord, thank You for sending me leaders to encourage my faith. I believe I am well able.
