Walking With God And Each Other

The eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Genesis 3:7

Transparency. Vulnerability. Authenticity. These are the ways God meant for us to relate to Him and to each other. Yet this kind of emotional “nakedness” can be frightening, especially if we’re afraid of how others—or even God—will respond.

That’s why Adam and Eve sewed those leaves together. Their first instinct was to hide from God when they realized they had sinned. The Word says they were naked and afraid of how He would respond. And we all have been hiding ever since. But that beauty of transparency, vulnerability, and purity is still available to us. God wants you to trust Him with openness, honesty, and your true self. He wants you whole—in your spirit, in your soul, and in your body. He wants your mind healthy and your heart fully alive to Him.

So bring all of yourself to Him. Share the depths of your heart—and let Him heal every facet of you. Risk telling Him everything—everything He already knows.

Lord Jesus, thank You that I can be completely vulnerable with You. Show me when I’m “sewing fig leaves” to cover myself, and lead me toward honesty and a loving connection with You today and every day.
