Placed In Your Spheres
Placed In Your Spheres
The entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14
Look around your world. Consider the different spheres of influence in which God has placed you. It is no coincidence who your neighbors are, who you work with, or who your kids play soccer with. God has you in each of those places, in the lives of those people, on purpose. He wants you to be His light, to pass on the baton of faith—and He has uniquely equipped you to fulfill your assignment.
Passing the baton of faith is as simple as taking time to invest in people’s everyday lives just as Jesus did. It’s finding a way to turn normal, inconsequential moments into eternal moments. Traveling with a co-worker on business? During your time waiting in the airport, share a recent answer to prayer. Shopping with a friend or getting a cup of coffee in the office break room? Casually talk about a Bible verse that struck you or a life concern you’re praying about. Make sharing life an opportunity to share spiritual truth. Always be listening for the Spirit’s leading, and you’ll see more and more opportunities to be His light.
Lord, there is no greater act of loving my neighbor than sharing the gospel. Thank You for showing me how to take advantage of every opportunity in my sphere of influence.
