Just For A Season!

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens . . . a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4

God has carefully designed every season of your life to be a vital step in your journey. With that heart-knowledge, you can find greater joy in the seasons of laughter and greater purpose in the seasons of weeping. And you can live every season with passion, whether or not you fully understand God’s plan.

After all, sometimes God is doing a deeper work in you than you realize. He may be preparing you for the season that follows. He may have you sowing seeds for a future harvest of believers. Or, the Lord may be helping you develop greater faith.

Some seasons are more enjoyable and some, more difficult. Some seasons bring droughts while others bring floods. Some seasons bring mourning, and others, joy—and both are necessary. Whatever is happening in this season of your life, embrace it. Pour yourself into whatever God is doing during this season because, after all, it’s only for a season. At the end of your life, you’ll be able to see, “He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Loving God, as You guide me through one season after another, please help me embrace each one as Your design for me.
