Draw Close

Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Healing is possible for you today—mentally, physically, or emotionally—whatever you need. And the journey to receiving your healing begins with drawing close to Jesus. That’s what the woman who bled for twelve years did.

Her persistent bleeding forced her to stay hidden and out of the public eye. Unclean is what her religion called her—a cultural label that caused her deep shame. Desperate for a cure, she spent all her money on doctors who couldn’t help.

She lived chronically weak, I imagine, from the continual loss of blood. She dealt continually with hygiene issues. Her condition literally dictated how she spent every second of every day of her life.

But one day this desperate woman caught a glimmer of hope: she learned that Jesus was in her town. This miracle-working Jesus was doing what doctors could not. The blind were seeing; the lame were walking. If only I could touch Him . . . Or maybe if I could just touch His clothes . . . He has healed others. Surely He could heal me as well, she thought. Hope. For the first time. She drew close and touched Him, and Jesus healed her. So draw close to Him—and take your first step toward wholeness.

Jesus, I draw near to You and receive Your healing power in every area of my life.
