Blessings Shared

Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

James 2:15–16

One of the most moving experiences of my life was visiting the refugee camps in recent years on the Macedonian border during the greatest move of people since World War II. Millions of people from Syria and other Middle Eastern nations were pouring into camps. As our A21 team spread the word about the dangers of human trafficking, I was so moved by what those people had been through. They’d left everything behind, and some had lost family members along the way. And here they were, dependent on others for basic necessities. Our team supplied water stations made from shipping containers. A place to shower, wash, and get a drink.

What do you need today? I hope you are blessed beyond measure—and willing to share with others. If you’re not, I know God sees you and He cares about you. Just like He cared about all those refugees.

Jesus has sent us into the world to be His hands and feet to people everywhere. He expects us to give to others because when good people—when Christ-followers—do nothing, injustice thrives.

Lord, please show me how to become a channel of Your grace in this world of need. Show me where I can demonstrate Your love and justice.
