Soaking Up As Much As I Can
Soaking Up as Much as I Can
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, “Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.”
John 7:38
When I read today’s verse, my heart cries out, “Thank you, Jesus, for this invitation to be refreshed and brought to life by You, our Living Water.” Christ is our never-ending Spring that will never run dry.
More than anything, I long to be a sponge that soaks Him all in. I want to absorb everything about the Living God of the universe through Jesus Christ. For many years I’ve asked God to please show me everything He has for me; I don’t want to miss out on anything in my relationship with Him. His plans for me are perfect. When my spirit is dry, I can count on Him to bring me back to life. I desire to be so full of Him that when I’m squeezed, I will help water this parched world in the power of His Spirit. We all need to be full of the Living Water so that when the painful circumstances of life squeeze in on us, we have much sweet water to pour out on others.
Let’s not squeeze the Lord out of our schedules. Dip into His Word daily. If you haven’t read the Bible on your own before, just read a few verses on a regular basis. I think you’ll discover how thirsty you’ll become to get to know Jesus.
If we drink deeply, before too long, streams of Living Water will flow from us!
Let’s soak up God’s Word daily like a sponge, then look for opportunities to offer others the Living Water. Take to heart Isaiah 55:11. How will God’s Word affect you today?
