Go God!
Go God!
The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. . . . The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.
Psalm 145:13, 17, NIV
Let’s celebrate today whether we feel up to it or not! God wants to lift our hearts now.
Perhaps today you’re feeling sad or unloved or discouraged. Maybe you are wondering if anyone really cares about you. Well, look with me at Psalm 145 and celebrate the Lord’s greatness, just like His child David did!
God’s methods might seem a little unusual. He could remove all of our troubles in an instant. But more often He calls us to draw near to Him, and He lifts our spirits as we celebrate Him.
Reading this psalm makes me feel like God’s cheerleader. By the time I finish verse 21, I’m practically shouting, “Go God!” No matter how I feel when I begin, my heart is lifted as I echo David’s words.
We have reason to praise the Lord because:
- He is the only One who knows us inside and out!
- He can be nothing but loving toward us.
- What He says goes. And we need to be glad it does because He is always right!
- He is faithful to all His promises!
We are reminded in this psalm that God is righteous and faithful in all His ways. No matter what you and I are facing or feeling right now, He is loving on us! We need to harness our faulty feelings and by faith remind ourselves of what we know is true.
God created us with feelings, but we don’t want to make decisions based on feelings or have our feelings determine the outcome of our day. Let’s base our emotions on what God says, knowing He always has our backs!
He is loving toward all He has made, which includes sweet you and me!
Continue celebrating God’s greatness. Spend five minutes listing the ways God has acted faithfully and lovingly toward you and your family.
