Blameless!

To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Jude 1:24-25, NIV

I can’t imagine a better way to start the day or say “sweet dreams” than by praising God! Because of one person—Jesus Christ—we can wake up every day and place our heads on the pillow each night with an overflowing cup, no matter what we’ve done or what troubles we encounter.

If we have placed our faith and trust in Christ as our Deliverer from sin and death, our future is taken care of. The most important matter for you and me—where we will spend eternity—is a done deal.

Because of Him, we can face anything with boundless amounts of joy! Because of Christ’s sacrifice, when our time comes to stand before God, He will declare us blameless for all the wrong things we’ve done, all of our mistakes, weaknesses, shame, and regrets that cripple us in this life. They will all vanish in the presence of our glorious Lord.

In the small book of Jude, God reminds us of what Jesus Christ did for us. Most likely the book was written by Judas, Jesus’ half brother (Matthew 13:55), not the disciple Judas, who betrayed Him. What an amazing proclamation he makes. Before all time, God has set in place this wonderful plan for our salvation. It applies to us in the present and extends into the future, beyond all time!
