Is there any hope for world peace?

God’s Response

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

A child is born to us, a son is given to us. . . . These will be his royal titles . . . Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever. Revelation 21:4

War is an inevitable consequence of human sin. Christians are called to pray and work for peace in the world. Just think how much worse it would be if we stopped doing that! However, because of mankind’s sinful nature, war will not end until Jesus, the Prince of Peace, returns, and then there will finally be peace forever.

God’s Promise

The LORD will settle international disputes. All the nations will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. All wars will stop, and military training will come to an end. Micah 4:3
