Trustworthiness
Trustworthiness
How can I earn the trust that will help people listen to me when I share my faith?
God’s Response
After David had finished talking with Saul, he met Jonathan, the king’s son. There was an immediate bond of love between them, and they became the best of friends. From that day on Saul kept David with him at the palace and wouldn’t let him return home. And Jonathan made a special vow to be David’s friend. 1 Samuel 18:1-3
You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward. Luke 19:17
You earn trust simply by being trustworthy, beginning with the small things. When people know they can depend on you, they will more readily listen to what you say. It has been said that we need to tell people about Christ, and if necessary, we should use words! Let your witness begin with your character and actions.
God’s Challenge
Put away all falsehood and tell your neighbor the truth, because we belong to each other. Ephesians 4:25
