Righteousness

Righteousness

How can I be righteous before God?

God’s Response

We are made right in God’s sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, no matter who we are or what we have done. Romans 3:22

Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2

God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21

God does not regard you as righteous because you are sinless, but because Jesus died to take your sins away. No one but Jesus Christ lived a sinless life, but a person who acknowledges Jesus as Lord sincerely tries to live in obedience to God’s Word. Anyone who seeks forgiveness for sin can be called righteous. In other words, God looks at you as though you have not sinned.

God’s Promise

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. Romans 1:17
