Resurrection

Resurrection

Jesus’ death was not the end, was it?

God’s Response

You will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your godly one to rot in the grave. Psalm 16:10

Jesus began to tell them that he, the Son of Man, would suffer many terrible things. . . . He would be killed, and three days later he would rise again. Mark 8:31

The angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He has been raised from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.” Matthew 28:5-6

Without the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, there would be no Christianity. The Resurrection is central because it demonstrates God’s power over death and assures us that we will also be resurrected. The power of God that brought Jesus back from the dead will also bring us back to life. Jesus’ death was not the end. His resurrection is the beginning of eternal life for all who believe in him. Do you believe?

God’s Promise

We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 2 Corinthians 4:14
