What is God’s prescription for my tiredness?

God’s Response

The creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day, having finished his task, God rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from his work of creation. Genesis 2:1-3

It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2

Jesus said, “Let’s get away from the crowds for a while and rest.” There were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. Mark 6:31

God wants you to take a break and get some rest! He set aside a full day of rest at creation as an example for us to follow. Jesus understood the limitations of his disciples and took them away for a break. Work is good, but it must be balanced by regular attention to the health of your body and your soul. Whole life comes from holy rest.

God’s Challenge

Keep my Sabbath days of rest and show reverence toward my sanctuary, for I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:30
