Pure Heart

What kind of heart does God desire for me?

God’s Response

Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and soul and strength. 2 Kings 23:25

I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously. 1 Chronicles 29:17

Teach me your ways, O LORD, that I may live according to your truth! Grant me purity of heart, that I may honor you. Psalm 86:11

God desires a teachable heart of integrity, one that is pure, joyful, and devoted. This kind of heart honors and delights him. We will never fully achieve these qualities in this life, but God is pleased when we truly desire a heart like this. Do your best to move in that direction today.

God’s Promise

God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matthew 5:8
