How does Jesus bring peace into my life?

God’s Response

A child is born to us, a son is given to us. . . . And he will be called . . . Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Don’t be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know where I am going and how to get there. John 14:1-4

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3

There are so many things that affect peace: chaos, conflict, interruptions, wars, busyness, worry, fear. On this earth, you can’t prevent many of these things, but you can have peace —a quiet, unshakable confidence —about the outcome. Some people have great peace just before they are martyred for their faith in Jesus because they know where they are going. In the same way, you can know that you are going to live forever with the Lord in perfect peace. Let that assurance keep you from panicking in today’s storms. The outcome is certain.

God’s Promise

Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world. John 16:33
