Panic

Panic

The worries in my life are causing me to panic. How can I overcome these fears?

God’s Response

Save me, O God, for the floodwaters are up to my neck. Deeper and deeper I sink into the mire; I can’t find a foothold to stand on. . . . Turn and take care of me, for your mercy is so plentiful. Psalm 69:1-2, 16

As Pharaoh and his army approached . . . the people began to panic, and they cried out to the LORD for help. Then they turned against Moses and complained, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness?” Exodus 14:10-11

Too often, a crisis exposes our unbelief and fear rather than our confidence and trust in God. Then we panic. When that happens, stop and remember God’s faithfulness in the past. This will boost your faith in God for deliverance from the present trial. Take your fears to God. Reach out to him and grab hold. He won’t let you go.

God’s Promise

I have stilled and quieted myself, just as a small child is quiet with its mother. Yes, like a small child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:2
