How can I make friends when I feel like an outsider?

Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here. So I warn you to keep away from evil desires because they fight against your very souls. 1 Peter 2:11

God blesses you who are hated and excluded and mocked and cursed because you are identified with me, the Son of Man. Luke 6:22

I am but a foreigner here on earth; I need the guidance of your commands. Don’t hide them from me! Psalm 119:19

In some cases, you may feel like an outsider because of your faith. Don’t compromise your beliefs in order to have friends; instead, ask God to guide you to other believers with whom you can find fellowship and to nonbelievers who are seeking faith. Realize that feeling like an outsider is natural, for your true home is in heaven.

They agreed that they were no more than foreigners and nomads here on earth. . . . But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. Hebrews 11:13, 16
