How does God show mercy?

God’s Response

When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the LORD was merciful. Genesis 19:16

The LORD your God is merciful —he will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the solemn covenant he made with your ancestors. Deuteronomy 4:31

God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so very much, that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. Ephesians 2:4-5

God showers mercy on you each day. He is slow to get angry over your sins, he offers you a way out from the eternal consequences of sin, and he shows you unfailing love no matter what you have done.

God’s Promise

He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. Titus 3:5
