Giving Thanks

Why is it important for me to give thanks to the Lord?

Giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God. Psalm 50:23

All of your works will thank you, LORD, and your faithful followers will bless you. Psalm 145:10

Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it. We may receive it gladly, with thankful hearts. 1 Timothy 4:4

Thanking God shows an attitude of gratitude. A thankful heart honors God for what he has done and recognizes his work, mercy, provision, and blessing in your life. A thankful heart gives you a positive attitude because it keeps you focused on all God is doing for you, not on what you think you lack. Make giving thanks a part of your prayer time, and thank God for something every day.

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. Hebrews 12:28
