Eagles’ Wings
Eagles’ Wings
I’m worn out. Should I give up or keep going?
God’s Response
Don’t you know that the LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. . . . He gives power to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
Being bone weary is dangerous because it can keep you from thinking clearly and cause you to do or say something you’ll regret. You must recognize your human limitations. Learn when to say no so that you aren’t tapped out for those to whom you need to say yes. Then, like the eagle that depends on the wind currents to keep it soaring, you can count on the supernatural Spirit of the Lord to lift you up and keep you doing what he has called you to do.
God’s Promise
This light and power that now shine within us . . . is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own. 2 Corinthians 4:7
