How can I do a better job of accepting God’s love?

God’s Response

“No,” Peter protested, “you will never wash my feet!”Jesus replied, “But if I don’t wash you, you won’t belong to me.” John 13:8

Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:17

You begin to accept God’s love as you increase in humility and decrease in self-sufficiency. Jesus encourages you to receive his love with the same kind of trust a little child shows. Receiving God’s love is an act of simple faith, but first you have to be humble enough to know that you need God and can’t make it through life or eternity without him.
