How should my choices affect my behavior?

God’s Response

We are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with self-control, right conduct, and devotion to God. Titus 2:12

You should behave . . . like God’s very own children. Romans 8:15

Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:16

Your values affect your choices, and your choices affect your behavior. Your behavior reveals your heart, or what is most important to you. When you claim to be a follower of God, make sure that others can truly see you following him. Then many will want to follow as well because they will like what they see.
