Weakness

Weakness

Sometimes I don’t feel strong enough to maintain my faith. Why does it seem so hard?

God’s Response

This is what the LORD says: . . . “The sun will set for you prophets, and your day will come to an end. Then you seers will be put to shame, and you fortune-tellers will be disgraced. And you will cover your faces because there is no answer from God.”But as for me, I am filled with power—with the Spirit of the LORD. I am filled with justice and strength to boldly declare Israel’s sin and rebellion. Micah 3:5-8

Micah faced the daunting task of preaching to people who were drifting from God and clearly rebelling against him. Micah might not have felt strong enough for that difficult battle, but God gave Micah his Spirit so that Micah would have the discernment to know justice and truth, and have the strength to fight for them. You don’t need to be strong enough to maintain your faith; you need the strength of God’s Spirit working through you. Make sure that you are tapping into his power source.

This Is Promising

As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Micah 7:7
