Trusting God

What does it mean to trust God?

God’s Response

This was [the spies’] report to Moses: “We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country. . . . But the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large and fortified.” . . .But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!” Numbers 13:27-30

The size of the warriors and their cities paralyzed God’s people, but Caleb trusted God. Sure, he had seen the fortified cities and noticed the giant people, but he remembered God’s promise that the land was theirs. If you know that God is leading you to a certain place, don’t let the size of the obstacles paralyze you. Carefully evaluate what’s before you, as Caleb did. Then, if you still feel God’s confirmation, move ahead, and watch the obstacles fall as God clears the way for you.

This Is Promising

My servant Caleb has a different attitude than the others have. He has remained loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored. Numbers 14:24
