Can I be thankful even in the tough times?

God’s Response

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

It’s hard to be thankful for the tough times, but you can at least be thankful in them. If you can learn to see your troubles as a crucible for strengthening your character and convictions, then you are better able to rise above them and even thank God for the good they are bringing to your life.

This Is Promising

If we are to share [Christ’s] glory, we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:17-18
