Too Many Sins? - The One Year Mini for Students
Too Many Sins?
What if I keep messing up? Will God ever stop forgiving me? Can I sin too much or too often?
God’s Response
Jacob took the food to his father. “My father?” he said.“Yes, my son,” Isaac answered. “Who are you—Esau or Jacob?”Jacob replied, “It’s Esau, your firstborn son. I’ve done as you told me. Here is the wild game. Now sit up and eat it so you can give me your blessing.” Genesis 27:18-19
Jacob made many mistakes in his life—it seems he was always deceiving someone. He faced the consequences of his sins and received God’s forgiveness. God did not abandon Jacob even when he repeatedly acted in selfish and deceitful ways. Your life will never be 100 percent sin-free, but God will not give up on you, however many times you mess up. The bottom line is that God is faithful even when we are not.
This Is Promising
I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6
