The Stones Cry Out

The Stones Cry Out

Why is praise so important to God?

God’s Response

Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods. The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the LORD made the heavens! 1 Chronicles 16:25-26

Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD? Who can ever praise him enough? Psalm 106:2

Praise is creation’s natural response to the greatness of the Creator. It is not unusual for people to burst into spontaneous applause or cheers when a head of state or a celebrity enters a room, and our natural response when we enter God’s presence through worship should be praise. The Bible teaches that God created the universe and provides salvation; he alone is worthy of our highest praise. When you consider who God is and what he has done for you, praise is the only possible response. Jesus said that if people wouldn’t lift their voices in praise, the very rocks and stones would cry out!

This Is Promising

If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers! Luke 19:40
