The Single Life

The Single Life

Is there really somebody for everyone? Should everyone get married?

God’s Response

God gives to some the gift of marriage, and to others the gift of singleness. 1 Corinthians 7:7

Marriage is not for everyone. Both marriage and singleness are gifts from God. If you are married, consider your spouse a gift from God and honor God and your spouse with your marriage. If you remain single or become single again after marrying, honor God in your singleness and look for ways to be a blessing to others. Paul, who was single, wished that more people could devote themselves so completely to the ministry of God’s Word. If you are single, don’t spend your time pining away for marriage. Instead, draw closer to God, seek to grow more mature in your faith, and serve wherever God calls you.

This Is Promising

Each of you should continue to live in whatever situation the Lord has placed you. 1 Corinthians 7:17
