What should I say when I witness?

God’s Response

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of these men who heard what John said and then followed Jesus. Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. John 1:40-42

Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!” When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So he stayed for two days, long enough for many more to hear his message and believe. John 4:39-41

The best kind of witnessing you can do is simply to tell your story. Tell how you came to believe and what God has done in your life. Explain the hope that you have. Then invite people to investigate the truth for themselves. People can argue about theology, but they can’t refute your experiences of God.

This Is Promising

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. 1 Peter 3:15
