What promises has God made that matter to me in my life today?

God’s Response

The LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:6

If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9

We have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1

Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. . . . You will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29

Sometimes God seems distant and even irrelevant to our daily lives. Consider the promises in the above verses. God has promised to forgive your sins, to give you peace of heart and mind, to carry your burdens, and to give you rest. How much more meaningful and relevant to your life could his promises be? Which of these promises do you most need to hold on to today? Thank God that he has promised all of this and that he is faithful.

This Is Promising

He prayed, “O LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.” 1 Kings 8:23
