Can I help with people’s needs when I’m just one person?

God’s Response

Paul’s nephew—his sister’s son—heard of their plan and went to the fortress and told Paul. . . .The commander took his hand, led him aside, and asked, “What is it you want to tell me?”Paul’s nephew told him, “Some Jews are going to ask you to bring Paul before the high council tomorrow, pretending they want to get some more information. But don’t do it! There are more than forty men hiding along the way ready to ambush him. They have vowed not to eat or drink anything until they have killed him. They are ready now, just waiting for your consent.” Acts 23:16, 19-21

You’re just one person, but you may be the only person who can help, and if you don’t do it, it may not get done. Paul’s nephew saved his life by simply reporting what he overheard. Consider a time when you needed help and one person came through for you. How important was just one person then? When you see a need, do your best to meet it. You may be the only one who can, or who will.
