Pick Me Up
Pick Me Up
Can I let others know I appreciate them?
God’s Response
Greet Apelles, a good man whom Christ approves. And give my greetings to the believers from the household of Aristobulus. Greet Herodion, my fellow Jew. Greet the Lord’s people from the household of Narcissus. Give my greetings to Tryphena and Tryphosa, the Lord’s workers, and to dear Persis, who has worked so hard for the Lord. Greet Rufus, whom the Lord picked out to be his very own; and also his dear mother, who has been a mother to me. Romans 16:10-13
You can probably still remember the worst thing ever said to you. It has stayed with you, and it still hurts. Can you remember the best thing ever said to you? All of us could stand to hear more words of appreciation and encouragement, so why not start by giving some to others? Paul understood the importance of well-timed words of appreciation. You can let others know that you appreciate them by thanking them and building them up in front of others. Notice what a difference a few words of appreciation can make! What you say to them may be the best words they’ve ever heard; it may stick with them for a lifetime.
This Is Promising
I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly. Ephesians 1:16
