Looking For Love
Looking for Love
I don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend and I really want one. Is that okay?
God’s Response
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. . . . A time to embrace and a time to turn away. Ecclesiastes 3:1, 5
Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right. Song of Songs 2:7
It’s natural for you to want a relationship because God created people to need each other. The big question is how badly you want a romantic relationship. So badly that you’ll take just anyone, regardless of God’s standards? Good relationships with the opposite sex happen most naturally when you are not focusing on finding a boyfriend or girlfriend. A good relationship begins with a good friendship. Pursue genuine friendships, including with friends of the opposite sex, and keep serving the God who loves you more deeply than any other friend while you wait for his perfect timing.
This Is Promising
My future is in your hands. Psalm 31:15
