Little Things
How can I become more responsible?
God’s Response
No accounting of this money was required from the construction supervisors, because they were honest and trustworthy men. 2 Kings 12:15
The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, “Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.” The master was full of praise. “Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities.” Matthew 25:20-21
Nobody is born responsible. You become responsible by being honest and faithful in every detail of your life, especially in the little things. Missing one number on an address label can send a package to the wrong side of the country. Fudging a few numbers can bring a whole company down and force many people out of work. A loose bolt can cause a car wreck. Taking care of the details can prevent big problems and prepare you to handle larger responsibilities. Being faithful to the small tasks builds up over time to give you the reputation of being a responsible person.
This Is Promising
To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. Matthew 25:29
