What should I do with my doubts?

God’s Response

John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?”Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen—the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.” Matthew 11:2-5

As John sat in prison, he began to have some doubts about whether Jesus really was the Messiah, but he did the right thing by taking his doubts straight to Jesus. If you have doubts about anything—your salvation, the forgiveness of your sins, God’s work in your life—take your doubts to the only One who can answer. When you doubt, don’t turn away from Christ; turn to him.
