God’s Response

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

If we saw too much of the future, we’d either be very afraid of the bad things ahead or get very cocky about our accomplishments. God’s guidance is less like a searchlight brightening a huge area and more like a flashlight shining on just enough of the path ahead to show you how to take the next few steps. God has a definite plan for you, but he usually doesn’t reveal it all at once. He wants you to trust him each step of the way.

This Is Promising

The LORD will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O LORD, endures forever. Psalm 138:8
